VesperNet History,
section Preface

How is MacDomain tied to VesperNet?

This one is fairly simple, to be honest.

MacDomain is set up as a service provider for a variety of things, the main driving point is one account for many services (but not all).
Since MacDomain is set up on the mainstream / public internet, it also provides services there. Web Hosting, Free E-Mail, Usenet Access, IRC access as well as AIM and ICQ.

It works the same when accessing MacDomain via VesperNet, however there are some differences and perks to the MacDomain services when using the Vesper DNS.
The E-Mail (POP3, SMTP) domain name changes but works the same, same as the IRC and Usenet domains changes, it is also possible to use ones own domain name on Vesper to point to the free web hosting on MacDomain (instead of having to use username.macdomain.net).

That is, in short, how MacDomain ties in with VesperNet.
